With high expectations and a supportive community, we're preparing students to excel in high school, college, and beyond.The Operations Coordinator will be the front line for families, staff, and visitors, greeting everyone with a smile and troubleshooting any problems that arise. They will ensure that the school day's daily logistics run efficiently, by leading various subfunctions of operations.Core Competencies & ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date student records, and student and family data is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA and other relevant lawManage and update student information systems: ATS, PowerSchool, Internal Rosters, SchoolMintAnalyze attendance, student performance, and enrollment trends to support leadership decisionsLead all aspects of student enrollment and discharge proceduresManage daily student food services ensuring the accurate tracking of student meal consumption and submission of compliance forms, as well as manage any daily concernsManage student transportation services in collaboration with the Office of Pupil Transportation, as well as communicate early dismissal, school closures, calendar updates, and issues as they ariseSupport the Operations Team in conducting required emergency drills (Code Blue, Hard/Soft Lockdowns, and Evacuations) and other compliance-related tasksCoordinate Student Health Services in collaboration with the Operations Manager and School Nurse, as well as immunization compliance, coordinating vision screenings, and school dental clinicsPrepare the building annually for start-up/new school year launchLead calendar-related communication efforts to all Brilla stakeholders via our communication platforms: Parent Square and PowerSchoolManage technical support and troubleshoot system issuesCoordinating and disseminating communications during emergencies, such as inclement weather closures or safety incidentsManages weekly supply inventory/equipment checksRestock/service workroom supplies as necessaryWelcome visitors and answer phonesCoordinate planning and implementation of school events and initiativesAssist with facilities management, including weekly and monthly facilities walk-throughs to ensure facilities are up to Brilla standardsCoordinate the creation and distribution of all school-wide communications: school foods calendar, informational flyers, enrollment flyers, etc.Coordinate additional tasks as needed, such as budget tracking, vendor communication, or special projects assigned by the leadership team.Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree or higher requiredUnyielding commitment to students, self, and school's constant learning and developmentAn unwavering commitment to the educational mission of the Brilla Schools Network in service to the school communityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented and highly organizedHighly motivated and capable of seeing projects through from beginning to endAbility to work autonomously as well as take direction as neededFlexible, mature, and humbleProficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with ATS, PowerSchool, Parent SquareBilingual in English and SpanishBenefitsComprehensive Professional Development: More than 225 hours annually, featuring two weeks of onboarding, coaching, and targeted training sessions to ensure staff excel in their roles and flourish.Community and Culture: An intentionally joyful workplace with over 30 bonding events each year, fostering connection and collaboration among staff and families in the Bronx.Flexible Health Coverage: A full suite of medical, dental, and vision plans designed to support diverse needs, utilizing Cigna and Anthem provider networks.Competitive Compensation: A salary range of $67,675 - $88,864, with pay varying within this range based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Retirement Plans: A 403(b) plan and 401(k) retirement options with matching contributions, helping you secure your financial future while you grow with us.Work-Life Balance: Generous paid time off, a DOE-aligned school calendar, and wellness resources to support personal renewal and sustained excellence.At Brilla, your dedication fuels our mission, and we're here to invest in your growth, well-being, and success—from recruitment to retirement!Beware of phishing attempts.
