The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of attorneys dedicated to the research, investigation, and prosecution of illegal and deceptive business practices. This includes a focus on emerging issues such as deceptive pricing and junk fees. The role involves managing the team's investigative and trial work, supporting cases from inception to resolution, and developing strategies for successful litigation. The Associate General Counsel will also be involved in the enforcement of specific laws, lead the strategy for modernized truth in pricing law, and provide legal counseling to other divisions. The ideal candidate should have significant supervisory and managerial experience, be a self-motivated attorney with excellent writing skills, and have a proven track record in strategic planning and the use of technology and data to achieve legal goals. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company must be admitted to the New York State Bar and have a minimum of four years of legal experience, with at least 18 months in a supervisory role. The role requires a candidate who is adept at handling substantial responsibility and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
