Mechanical Engineer

Job DescriptionAudubon is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, specification, and evaluation of mechanical equipment for capital projects. You’ll prepare equipment deliverables, review vendor documents, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure reliable, code-compliant designs.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare datasheets, specifications, and requisitions for rotating and static equipment (pumps, compressors, vessels, heat exchangers, tanks)Perform equipment sizing, selection, and technical bid evaluationsReview vendor drawings and documents for compliance with project requirementsCoordinate with process, piping, and civil/structural disciplines on equipment interfaceSupport construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting activitiesEnsure designs comply with API, ASME, and project standardsHealth, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
