ACCOUNTING COORDINATOR

Position Summary The Accounting Coordinator will manage financial records, prepare financial reports, ensure compliance with established procedures, and coordinate with other departments to maintain accurate and efficient financial operations. This position requires on-site employment with no remote or hybrid options available. Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with state regulations. Coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to policies. Ensure that all financial processes and transactions comply with applicable state, federal, and departmental regulations. Provide oversight and guidance to junior accounting staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to accounting procedures and policies. Work with auditors to provide necessary information and respond to audit inquiries. Other duties as assigned. Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel) and other financial management tools.Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, plus 3 years of accounting experience.Satisfaction of the minimum qualifications, including years of experience and service, does not entitle employees to automatic progression within the job series.
