Position Overview This job is only available to students who qualify for Work‑Study. The Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking a dynamic, motivated work‑study student to support our social media and marketing projects. This role offers hands‑on experience in higher education communications, content creation, and brand management. Key Responsibilities Content Creation: Brainstorm, develop, and produce engaging social media content (for Instagram and TikTok) that promotes Union College and its student body. Production Support: Assist the content team during on‑campus photo and video shoots. Administrative Aid: Provide general administrative and operational support to the Communications and Marketing team. Graphic Design: Help create and edit digital and print assets, such as flyers, social media graphics, and merchandise, aligned with Union’s brand guidelines. Qualifications Familiarity with and interest in current social media platforms, trends, and video formats. A passion for storytelling, marketing, and upholding Union College’s mission and values. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Interest or experience in graphic design (familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design tools is a plus).
