Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a lasting impact in the classroom by supporting students in full-time FASE (Life Skills) settings. Two contract positions are open for dedicated special education professionals ready to work with 4th–6th grade students for the upcoming school year. Collaborate with an inclusive team and contribute directly to student growth through meaningful instruction tailored to unique learning needs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Texas Special Education Certification (SPED)
- One of the following endorsements is required: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist, matched to the correct grade level
- Experience working with students in a Life Skills or similar classroom strongly preferred
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and deliver differentiated instruction
- Reliable and punctual for onsite work throughout the school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in a FASE Life Skills classroom for elementary or junior high grades (4th–6th)
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with other educators and support staff
- Utilize adaptive strategies and curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Engage in regular communication with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate records and meet compliance requirements
