The work we do building families offers purpose, challenge, and personal reward—and we're just getting started.Opportunity OverviewWe have an immediate opening for a Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Ovation Fertility in Nashville, Tennessee.Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the ability to work approximately 6 weekends and 2 holidays per year.This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.How You'll ContributeAt US Fertility, collaboration is fundamental to how we work. Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, you'll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success.In this role, the Laboratory Assistant will:Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs), processing directives, production standards, policies, health and safety directives and regulationsMaintain flexibility for working hours as IVF processes are time-dependent; may include some weekend work in extreme needsSupport embryologists with all aspects of IVF processes as directed by the Senior EmbryologistsAssist with andrology procedures such as IUI preparation and semen analysis, as well as assist with shipping and receiving of frozen specimensAssist with maintaining integrity of media, collection, and semen processing dataRecord and communicate oocyte collection, and maintain embryo production data recordsMaintain accurate labeling and traceability of media and embryo productionAssist with lab maintenance; sanitize working areas and equipment; follow production inventory and LN2 management protocols; maintain processing equipment, glassware and plastic dishes and processing areasSupport patient care by answering and directing phone calls, organizing and scheduling appointments, organizing and coordinating meetings, and maintaining filing systemsPerform general office duties and all other tasks as requested by physicians, director and embryologistsWhat You'll BringWe're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:Associates degree required; Bachelors degree in a Life Science focus area preferredPrior laboratory experience preferredExperience in a medical office facility and using EMR systems is preferredAbility to work independentlyExcellent multi-tasking abilities, communication and organizational skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work as part of a teamGood research skillsTech savvyFlexibility and willingness to learn at all timesMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
