Registered Nurse Medical Telemetry Flexi Pool

City/State: Williamsburg, VA Work Shift: Third (Nights) Overview Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry unit. This is a Flexi Pool night shift position, hours 7p.m. to 7a.m. with rotating weekends. The RN will support patient education, monitoring, and critical care in a collaborative medical environment. Responsibilities Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and post‑discharge care. Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in patient condition, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions. Utilize clinical judgment to address complex health situations, consult with medical team members as needed. Document all care in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Apply the nursing process and professional standards to deliver competent nursing care. Qualifications Education: Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required). BSN or MSN preferred. Certification/Licensure: Registered Nursing License (required). BLS required within 90 days of hire. Experience: 1year acute‑care RN experience required for flexi positions. Skills: Critical‑thinking, clinical judgment, patient education, teamwork, documentation, adherence to nursing standards.
