Position : General Assembler Location : Sumter,SC Duration : 12 Months 1st Shift Total Hours/week : 40.00 1st Shift Client : Medical Devices Company Job Category : Industrial Employment Type : Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT Job Summary We are hiring an Assembler , General (Press Operator) for a rubber molding facility in Sumter, SC. This role involves conducting quality checks on rubber stopper pads and operating a heated press machine. 2 positions available. Roles And Responsibilities Conduct quality checks on rubber stopper pads Operate a heated press machine Use a mallet hammer and other hand tools Perform fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging tasks for medical devices Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment Conduct quality inspections on the processing line per quality specifications Work within clearly defined SOPs and adhere to quality guidelines Communicate effectively with coworkers and Team Lead/Supervisor Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed Experience 0 to 5 years of relevant experience Zero (0) to one (1) year of manufacturing assembly experience required Previous manufacturing work experience preferred Key Skills Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications written in English Basic math calculation skills Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes Good attention to detail Ability to work well in a team environment Comfortable using hand tools (mallet hammer, etc.) Eligibility And Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Must pass eye exam Steel toe or composite-toe shoes required Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted No drug screening required for this assignment Background check must clear (may start with background pending) Willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment Willing to work H-Shift schedule (3 on/2 off/2 on/3 off, including weekends) #J-18808-Ljbffr
