Backed by leading venture capital investors, the company has raised substantial capital to fund the development of its technology and is entering its next phase of growth, marked by an expanding footprint in the United States and a deepening bench of institutional investors. As part of this growth, the company is building out a New York presence and hiring its first dedicated Investor Relations Lead.

This is a rare opportunity to build the Investor Relations function from the ground up at a high-growth, capital-intensive DeepTech business. Reporting into the CFO, the Head of Investor Relations will own the company's relationships with existing and prospective investors, shape how the equity story is told to the market and be a central partner in future fundraising rounds. This role suits someone who has trained in investment banking and has since moved in-house to operate as a builder inside fast-growing, venture-backed technology or hardware companies — ideally with first‑hand experience supporting the kind of large, complex rounds ($100m+) that capital-intensive DeepTech businesses require.

Key responsibilities:

• Own Investor Relations end-to-end: act as the company's first dedicated IR hire, building the strategy, processes, and infrastructure for how the company engages with its investor base.
• Lead investor relationships: serve as a trusted, day‑to‑day point of contact for existing institutional investors (VC and growth equity), and cultivate relationships with prospective investors ahead of future rounds.
• Drive fundraising execution: partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and Finance team to prepare for and run future capital raises, including data room management, due diligence coordination, investor materials, and process management for $100m+ rounds.
• Shape the equity narrative: craft and continually refine the company's investment thesis and equity story, translating complex hardware and AI technology and R&D roadmaps into a compelling narrative for financial audiences.
• Own investor communications: manage the cadence of investor updates, quarterly reporting, board materials support, and responses to ad‑hoc investor queries.
• Build IR infrastructure: stand up the systems, trackers, and processes (e.g. investor CRM, reporting templates, KPI packs) needed to run a professional IR function at scale.
• Represent the company externally: attend and, over time, help organize investor conferences, roadshows, and relevant industry events.
• Plan ahead: help the leadership team think through the company's long‑term capital strategy, including potential future growth equity, crossover, or pre‑IPO investors as the business matures.
• Cross-functional partnership: work closely with Finance, Legal, and Communications to ensure investor‑facing messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with broader company narrative.

Profile:

• Investment banking foundation: trained in investment banking, ideally with exposure to technology, hardware, industrials, or growth equity coverage.
• Operator experience: has since moved in‑house and worked as an operator (e.g. in Investor Relations, Corporate Development) at one or more VC backed hardware or technology startups/scaleups.
• Track record with large rounds: direct experience supporting or leading fundraising processes for VC backed companies that have consistently closed $100m+ rounds (e.g. Series C and beyond, or large growth rounds).
• Comfort with capital‑intensive businesses: understands the funding dynamics, capital intensity, and longer development and commercialization cycles typical of hardware and DeepTech companies.
• Financial fluency: strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical and operational detail into an investor‑ready narrative.
• Builder mindset: excited to build a function from scratch as a first hire; highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and ambiguity.
• Relationships: existing relationships across the growth‑stage and late‑stage venture ecosystem (VC and crossover investors) are a strong plus.
