Travel Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in La Vista, NE

Embrace a 13-week travel experience focused on Progressive Care and Oncology within a 27-bed PCU/MedSurg environment. This role is ideal for nurses ready to expand their skills, learn from a variety of seasoned teams, and positively impact a diverse adult patient population. Your days will be filled with meaningful work while every off-shift opens the door to new places, cuisines, and experiences.


Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts available: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, and more
• Every other weekend
• Self-scheduling for flexibility

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of PCU and/or oncology experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)
• Chemotherapy certification preferred (not required)
• Willingness to float to MedSurg and other PCU units
• Strong teamwork, compassion, and adaptability

Responsibilities:

• Care for progressive care patients, with a focus on oncology and trauma
• Titrate drips (insulin, cardizem), administer chemotherapy, and use specialty equipment
• Engage in hourly rounding and culturally competent patient-centered care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support staff (PT/OT, social work, educators)
• Participate in open-book skills assessments during orientation
