Route Supervisor

This position is based in Greer, South Carolina , supporting BMW's transportation network . The operation plays a critical role in coordinating daily inbound and outbound freight movements, managing driver activity, supporting material flow, and ensuring seamless communication between BMW, drivers, and operational leadership.

Shift Available

2nd shift: Sunday - Friday | 1:30 PM - 10:30 pM

3rd Shift: Sunday - Friday | 9:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily routes and driver assignments to ensure on-time service and customer satisfaction
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, BMW representatives, dispatch, and operations leadership
• Monitor freight movement and proactively communicate shipment updates, delays, and service issues
• Support driver scheduling, attendance tracking, and staffing requirements
• Ensure drivers are operating safely and in compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and customer requirements
• Investigate and resolve transportation, service, and driver-related issues
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to drivers
• Track operational KPIs related to service, safety, productivity, attendance, and equipment utilization
• Maintain accurate reports, operational documentation, and compliance records
• Assist with fleet utilization, route planning, and daily operational execution
• Partner with BMW representatives to resolve concerns and support production requirements
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and service performance
• Assist with workforce planning and daily operational staffing needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or related field is a plus
• Previous experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, customer service, or operations environments preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable
• Working knowledge of transportation operations and DOT regulations preferred
• Flexibility to support varying schedules and operational needs
