Find and seek. Stay here, play here. Welcome to Recess. About the role Recess Hotel & Club is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Banquet Manager to oversee all banquet operations. The ideal candidate will ensure coordination across departments for a guest experience that is seamlessly executed. What you'll do Plan, organize, and manage banquet events, including large tours groups, celebrations of life, conferences, and private functions Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements, menus, and timelines Supervise banquet staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Ensure proper setup, service, and breakdown of events according to standards Work closely with kitchen and catering teams to ensure timely food service Monitor event execution and resolve any issues promptly and professionally Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service quality Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment related to banquet operations Oversee billing, budgeting, and cost control for events Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based hours. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of banquet or hospitality service experience required Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of banquet service styles, including plated, buffet, reception, and cocktail events. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong guest service and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move banquet equipment as needed. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on business demands. #J-18808-Ljbffr
