Job Details Maintenance Tech - Specialist - Torresdale Jefferson - Full Time Job Description MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN 2 OR MORE TRADES - HVAC CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Responsible for the installation, inspection, operation, repair and preventative maintenance of facilities and mechanical systems for hospital buildings and according to established schedules. The Mechanic Specialist’s work involves the skills of two or more craft occupations, such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, stationary engineering/boileroperating, and/or carpentry. Essential Functions Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Monitor, inspect,operate, and test machinery and equipment across hospital’s HVAC, plumbing, electrical and/or boiler operation systems to diagnose machine malfunctions andmaintainsystems’ working order. Reads thermometers andgagesandrecordsreadings. Conductsandoverseesrepairsand upgrades toabovehospital systemsasneeded. Estimatesandordersmaterialsneededfor work projects. Possessesworking knowledge ofothertrades toensurecoordinationof work projects. Performsallwork inaccordancewithestablishedsafetyprocedures. Completesroundingtoidentifyandresolveregulatorycompliancedefinencies. Assistsand/or performs the work oftradeother maintenance technicians and teams as needed.
