About This Role The Assistant Nurse Manager for SICU CC is a Registered Professional Nurse who acts as a clinical leader in the daily operations of the unit, ensuring quality patient care delivery alongside or in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Highlights Pay: $132,411.29 - $153,840.32 Annually Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Department/Unit: SICU Gi-CC - MSH Schedule: Full-Time, Evening Shift What You'll Do Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care. Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role model expected behaviors. Ensure integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care. Assist in validating staff members' hourly rounds on all patients through direct observation and feedback. Assess staff competency in PHR and provide meaningful feedback. Conduct rounding of all patients daily when the Nurse Manager is away. Communicate patient experience and staff engagement information to the team. Collaborate with the physician dyad and elevate concerns as appropriate. Follow up on patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery as needed. Support and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment. Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred. Experience: 3 years minimum clinical nursing experience; Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.
