• Experience: 2+ years in Acute Care RN, Med/Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Certifications Needed: BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate and safe care to medical-surgical/telemetry patients experiencing conditions like sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and pneumonia.
• Monitor and assess patient status, ensuring timely interventions and documentation.
• Manage wound care, JP drains, wound vacs, hemodialysis catheters, and PCA pain management.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, in-house support staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
• Follow hospital protocols for infection control and safety.

What You Need

• Required:
  • Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent med/surg/telemetry experience in acute care settings
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to pass an EKG competency exam pre-arrival
  • Proficiency in wound management, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
• Preferred:
  • Experience with EMR systems (Meditech Expanse)
  • Familiarity with hospital equipment and procedures
