Job Summary

Divine Homes Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4 :00 PM–9:00 PM
Position: Part-Time

The DSP will promote independence, dignity, choice, and community inclusion while supporting individuals with daily living activities, personal goals, and meaningful participation in their communities. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, respectful, and committed to providing person-centered care in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centered support in accordance with each individual's Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and identified goals.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) , including personal care, grooming, dressing, and hygiene, as needed.
• Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living and life skills .
• Encourage and assist with community engagement, social activities, recreational outings, and appointments .
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping while encouraging individuals to participate according to their abilities.
• Provide safe transportation to approved appointments, activities, and community destinations when required.
• Observe, document, and accurately report individuals' progress, activities, behaviors, and any changes or concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Follow all agency policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with individuals, families, supervisors, and other members of the support team.
• Promote and protect each individual's rights, privacy, dignity, independence, and personal choice at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance required.
• Must be able to successfully complete required criminal background checks and other employment screenings.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or caregiver is preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Must be dependable, professional, patient, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM .
