BUYER

POSITION SUMMARY

The Buyer is responsible for supporting daily procurement activities by sourcing materials and services, processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery to support business operations. This position focuses on procurement execution, supplier communication, and order management. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

PROCUREMENT EXECUTION

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and support price comparisons.
• Follow established procurement policies and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of purchasing documents and system records.
• Support contract and supplier documentation maintenance.

SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT

* Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order status.

• Follow up on open orders and resolve delivery issues.
• Assist in identifying alternative suppliers when needed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.

INTERNAL CUSTOMER SUPPORT

* Work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and other departments to support purchasing needs.

• Clarify specifications and requirements with requestors.
• Provide procurement status updates to stakeholders.

COST AND PROCESS SUPPORT

* Support cost-saving initiatives through quote comparisons and sourcing activities.

• Track market pricing and supplier performance.
• Assist with spend analysis and reporting as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency.

COMPLIANCE

* Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and approval requirements.

• Maintain accurate procurement records and supporting documentation.
• Support audit requests and reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.

EXPERIENCE

* 1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, administrative, or related experience preferred.

• Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred.

SKILLS

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic negotiation and supplier communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion, and is determined within a range. This provides you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and advance your career at Gotion. The base pay range for this role is shown below, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, and location. Expected Pay Range

$70,000—$110,000 USD
