Staff Accountant

A global professional services organization is seeking a Staff Accountant – Revenue to support contract setup, revenue recognition, and revenue accounting processes. This position will partner with project and finance teams to ensure accurate contract configuration, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, has strong attention to detail, and wants to grow within a fast-paced finance environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and maintain customer contracts within the company’s financial system based on contract terms and conditions Perform risk assessments of contract terms to identify potential financial or operational impacts Partner with internal project teams to ensure contracts are structured appropriately for revenue recognition and billing requirements Support post-contract activities , including contract modifications, change orders, and contract closeout Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls related to contract and revenue processes Assist with monthly revenue close activities , including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Review transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting Analyze variable consideration (discounts, rebates, penalties, etc.) and determine impact on revenue recognition Assist with audit support and documentation requests Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure processes are followed and deadlines are met Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration , or related field Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with contract setup and revenue accounting processes Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition Experience working with ERP systems (Workday or similar platforms) #J-18808-Ljbffr
