Curriculum Designer 1, RLA PD K-5 (Multiple Positions)

Job Summary Develops high-quality secondary literacy curriculum and job-embedded professional learning for grades K-5, aligned to district standards. Partners with key stakeholders to strengthen instructional practices, ensure coherence across grade levels, and support students in building the skills needed for rigorous, grade-level content and long-term academic success. Responsibilities Designs and develops job-embedded professional learning aligned to curriculum, including slides, activities, and assessments. Supports development of teacher-facing curriculum materials aligned to district instructional expectations. Evaluates curriculum for rigor, clarity, and cultural relevance. Participates in PLC/brain trust sessions to refine curriculum and instructional practices. Attends and contributes to TEKS-aligned professional development. Collaborates with teachers and leaders to support implementation. Education Bachelor's Degree. Experience At least 3 years teaching or district experience. Skills & Certifications Software: Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Office. Teacher Certification (preferred). Equipment: office equipment such as computer, copier. Leadership Responsibilities Level 1 – No supervisory responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.
