Cocktail Server Position at Altitude Sky Lounge
Altitude Sky Lounge is seeking an experienced cocktail server to join their team! Located on the rooftop of the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter hotel, Altitude is a fast-paced environment with an energetic atmosphere and spectacular views. This position is part-time. This position pays $19.00 per hour. Overtime eligible. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of three shifts per week up to five as needed. Must be able to work Wednesdays and Thursdays and have flexibility to work Fridays and Saturdays. Shifts can start as early as 4pm and as late as 2am. During baseball season and for special events, shifts can start as early as 1pm. Benefits include sick pay, hotel room discount, free parking ($200 value), meal allowance per 8-hour shift ($10 per meal period), 401(k) 4% match, discount programs, shoes for crews commuter program.
Job duties include greeting guests in a timely, friendly manner, walking throughout the bar during the shift to ensure all guests have been served, taking all beverage and food orders and delivering as appropriate, demonstrating proper knowledge of food and beverage menu items and upselling when possible, itemizing bills correctly and ensuring proper payment, maintaining constant communication with bartenders and beverage ambassadors to ensure guest satisfaction, responding to customer needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales; reporting all issues to shift supervisor, assisting in the bar area when necessary, cleaning and restocking service items, following all appropriate and required steps of service according to the Altitude Sky Lounge policies and procedures, performing all side-work duties as assigned, maintaining a polished appearance and positive attitude, always dressing with a smile. Other duties as assigned.
Job requirements include prior experience as a cocktail server in a fast-paced environment, the ability to pass a background check.
