Local - Registered Nurse - NICU - FlexStaff - $80 /hr

About This Role The Registered Nurse in the NICU will perform an age-specific plan of care for a designated group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and leadership within a healthcare team. Highlights Pay: $80/hour Location: Danbury, CT Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time What You'll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status. Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition. Assess level of pain and pain management. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care. Assess patient’s psychosocial health status. Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes. Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities to achieve expected outcomes. Implement the plan of care while maintaining patient safety. Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes.Collaborate with other care team members in planning and carrying out treatment regimens. Administer medications correctly and safely. Participate in patient and family education. Requirements Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
