Restoration Technician

Voda Cleaning and Restoration of Ann Arbor

Build a trade, not just a job. We're looking for someone who wants to learn fast, earn certifications, and move up — not punch a clock.

What You Get

• Real advancement, fast. Motivated techs move into leads and supervisory roles based on performance, not tenure.
• Health benefits. Because you should be covered.
• Generous PTO. Take the time you've earned.
• Hourly pay + commission + customer tips. Your paycheck grows as your skills do.
• Paid path to industry certifications that make you more valuable everywhere you go next.

Who We Are

Voda Cleaning and Restoration of Ann Arbor keeps homes and businesses clean, healthy, and protected — carpet and floor cleaning, tile and grout, upholstery, odor removal, air duct cleaning, and restoration work like water damage and mold mitigation. We run modern equipment, real systems, and a high bar for quality — and we're growing, which means the people who join now grow with us.

The Opportunity

As a Restoration Technician, you're on the front line of the customer experience — hands-on work, visible results, and a direct line to advancement. No four-year degree required, no \"wait five years to get noticed.\" Show up, learn the trade, stack certifications, and the path up is clear and fast.

This is a great fit if you want a job that turns into a career: one where a year from now you have more skills, more responsibility, and more money than you do today.

What You'll Do

• Support restoration projects — water damage, mold, and more — as you train up.
• Complete work orders, daily logs, and job documentation using your phone or tablet.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with customers on site.
• Inspect your own work to make sure it holds up to our standard.
• Keep equipment, tools, and your vehicle organized and job-ready.
• Handle basic equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Learn new tools, tech, and techniques as we add services.
• Hold yourself and your teammates to a high bar on quality, safety, and service.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills and the ability to follow a process.
• Comfortable with a smartphone or tablet and basic apps for job documentation.
• A year of floor or specialty cleaning experience is a plus (think: strip and wax, tile and grout, air duct, upholstery) — but it's not required. We'll train the right person.
• A strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and pride in doing the job right.

Your Certification Track

We invest in people who want to grow. Earn IICRC certifications on the job and build real, portable expertise:

• Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)
• Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
• Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
• Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
• Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
• Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Each one makes you more valuable — and moves you closer to a lead or supervisor role.

Pay

Compensation is based on experience and climbs as you add skills and certifications, plus commission and customer tips on top of your hourly pay. The better you get, the more you make — no ceiling, no waiting around.
