Logistics Analyst

Shipyard LogisticianSalary: $65,000 to $70,000Background check, drug screening, secret clearance, and a CAC are requirements of this position. Travel is 20%.TMMG is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipyard Logistician to support naval ship maintenance, modernization, and fleet readiness programs. This position is ideal for a logistics professional with 3-5 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, supply support, provisioning, material management, or related Navy logistics disciplines.The Shipyard Logistician will work closely with program managers, production teams, engineers, government representatives, and suppliers to ensure material requirements are accurately identified, procured, tracked, and delivered in support of shipyard production schedules and maintenance availabilities.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage material procurement, receipt, storage, inventory control, and material issue activities.Track and monitor material requisitions and receipts to ensure on-time availability of parts and equipment.Support production meetings and provide logistics status updates to project stakeholders.Maintain accountability of government-furnished and contractor-acquired material.Process inventory adjustments, material transactions, and invoice reconciliation activities.Assist with the planning and execution of maintenance and modernization availabilities.Review technical documentation, engineering drawings, bills of material, and Ships Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS) data to support logistics planning.Support provisioning, configuration management, and logistics documentation development.Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and government stakeholders to resolve material shortages and delivery issues.Maintain logistics databases and generate reports supporting contract deliverables.Participate in shipboard validations and material verification efforts.Ensure compliance with NAVSUP policies, procedures, and supply chain management requirements.Experience with:ICAPSILITMBPSCDMD-OAREMEDYONE TOUCHLOGIQUESTDECKPLATEKnowledge of provisioning, configuration management, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles.Experience supporting aircraft carrier, submarine, surface combatant or amphibious maintenance programs.Physical Job RequirementsMust be able to work in both an office and industrial shipyard environment. Be able to lift 25 lbs.Education/Certification Requirements• 3-5 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, Navy logistics, provisioning, supply support, material management, or related fields.• Working knowledge of inventory control, material tracking, warehouse operations, and procurement processes.• Experience supporting maintenance availabilities, modernization programs, or fleet readiness efforts.• Familiarity with Navy logistics and supply systems.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and bills of material.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment.Preferred Qualifications• Former U.S. Navy/USCG Logistics Specialist (LS), Storekeeper (SK), or equivalent military logistics experience.• Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.• U.S. Citizenship required.• Ability to obtain and maintain access to government and shipyard facilities.• Active Secret Security Clearance preferred.
