Assert Motion Physical Therapy is a private orthopedic outpatient physical therapy practice committed to providing top-notch care to our patients. Our team consists of skilled professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and one licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest sports medicine technology. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on personalized care tailored to individual needs.

Work Environment

Located in the serene community of Brookhaven, NY, our clinic is designed to create a welcoming and supportive environment for both staff and patients. Physical therapists in our practice enjoy a collaborative setting, where teamwork and communication are prioritized to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly assess and understand each patient's objectives and needs through efficient evaluations.
• Manage a personalized caseload, conducting one-on-one therapy sessions with patients to enhance their mobility.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on orthopedics.
• Provide cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at improving range of motion and physical function.
• Explore non-surgical options and work to reduce the need for medication in managing pain and recovery.
• Design and lead fitness and wellness programs tailored to patient capabilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions accurately, maintaining clear records of progress.
• Conduct consistent evaluations to monitor outcomes and adapt care plans as necessary for optimal recovery.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care, consulting with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
• Encourage patients to remain engaged and motivated throughout the treatment process, promoting a proactive approach to health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists primarily of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New York.

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in utilizing WebPT Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.

• Prior experience in a similar orthopedic outpatient practice focusing on rehabilitation.
• Experience in developing and executing community outreach programs related to wellness and physical therapy.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
