The Department of Aging and Disabilities is seeking a Human Services Administrator III (Emergency) to support the county's response to the homelessness crisis. Candidates will work in a dynamic environment with an initial appointment of up to 90 days, subject to assessment and potential permanent employment. Essential Job Functions Plan, organize, assign, direct, and evaluate work of district or regional staff, including budget preparation, personnel selection, and report development. Ensure quality service standards are met and monitor work activities. Conduct studies to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend policy changes. Analyze proposed legislation and federal/state regulations, prepare directives, and implement required policy changes. Interpret departmental policies to external agencies and community groups; promote public relations programs and community liaison efforts. Facilitate community workshops and participate in task groups, committees, and boards to advance departmental goals. Requirements to Qualify Three (3) years of experience in an administrative, managerial, or highly responsible capacity equivalent to Human Services Administrator I. Experience may be demonstrated through independent administration, policy formulation, budgeting, resource allocation, supervision, or senior-level program management. License Valid California Class C Driver License or an alternative transportation method when needed. Desirable Qualifications Professional experience working with older, dependent, or disabled adults. Experience monitoring policy or legislative changes affecting homelessness and vulnerable populations.
