What You'll Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient assessments, requesting diagnostic tests, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and treating acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses either independently or in collaboration with physicians (based on qualifications)
• Educating patients and families on prevention, wellness, and management of diseases
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and ongoing chronic care management
• Working jointly with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless and comprehensive care
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capable of obtaining within 90 days)
