Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and developing tailored treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in collaboration with supervising physicians or independently based on your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness strategies, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice

Education Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Licenses

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capability to obtain them within 90 days)
