The company owns and manages 11 properties across the Texas Gulf Coast, ranging from budget limited service hotels to upscale all-suite and conference properties. The organization provides turnkey, worry-free management for hotel owners, overseeing daily operations through experienced General Managers and operational supervisors. In addition to management, ZJZ Hospitality offers comprehensive hotel development services, including construction management, pre-opening marketing, purchasing, renovations, and ongoing operations support. Role Description The Hotel General Manager is a full-time, on-site position located in Port Aransas, TX. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, to ensure a safe, efficient, and guest-focused environment. The General Manager will lead, train, and support team members, set performance expectations, and foster a culture of service excellence and accountability. Daily responsibilities include managing budgets and financial performance, monitoring revenue and expenses, analyzing operational reports, and implementing strategies to improve profitability and guest satisfaction. The role also entails maintaining brand standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, handling guest concerns, coordinating with corporate leadership, and driving local sales and marketing initiatives to enhance the property’s market position. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong General Management and Business Management skills, with proven experience overseeing hotel operations and leading diverse teams. Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle guest issues professionally and maintain high satisfaction scores. Candidates should possess solid Budgeting skills, including experience with forecasting, cost control, revenue management, and financial reporting. Candidates should possess operational knowledge of Food & Beverage, including basic understanding of restaurant or bar service, inventory, and quality standards. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience as a hotel General Manager or department head, familiarity with hotel brand standards, and knowledge of local market dynamics. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in hotel management systems and basic office software, are preferred.
