Human Resources Business Specialist

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Human Resources Business Specialist to support multiple communities across HR and business office functions. This onsite role in Norwood, MA offers great benefits starting from Day One and a rewarding opportunity working directly with seniors. In this position, you will work closely with executive and operational leaders, spend time in the communities, and partner with HR leadership to strengthen HR policy, associate relations, and compliance. The role reports to the Director of Human Resources Operations and may require travel, including overnight stays. What you will do Act as a key HR partner to Executive Directors and Regional/Operational leaders across performance, culture, retention, engagement, and leadership development. Promote the Residence and LCB Senior Living mission and core values to residents, visitors, and associates. Partner with RHRD/DHRO to develop and communicate HR policies and procedures aligned with applicable laws and regulations. Manage associate relations matters, including associate complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints, and coordinate with the legal department as appropriate. Coach and counsel communities on associate accountability processes. Facilitate learning for department leaders and the broader workforce as needed, including orientation. Assist with execution and coordination of associate recognition programs. Support community onboarding activities, including policy review, benefit discussions, and ensuring completion of associate screenings and backgrounds. Review community compliance with LCB Senior Living policies and interpret corporate policies for associates, residents, family members, and visitors. Support the LCB Culture and perform duties with a positive attitude. Maintain confidentiality for other communities' payroll and resident-related information. Ensure business office and reception operations follow corporate policies, procedures, and state and local regulations. When covering a Business Office Director vacancy, HRBS also supports business office leadership functions, including onboarding coordination and HR and accounting/payroll system readiness. This may include reviewing onboarding schedules, monitoring checklists, training BODs in person or virtually, and partnering with Accounting, Payroll, and HR to implement and train new programs and systems. Additional BOD coverage responsibilities may include health insurance and benefits management in HRIS, managing leaves of absence, handling Worker Compensation claims and OSHA Log/reporting, verifying resident charge logs, processing resident check deposits, using the Yardi system to support timely collections and reporting, and performing QA related to HR operations and business office director responsibilities. What you bring Knowledge of receivables and collections , general bookkeeping, workers compensation , FMLA , HR fundamentals, wage and overtime laws, and payroll functions. Three or more years of experience in business office leadership or HR leadership , including accounting, payroll and/or human resources responsibilities. Strong ability to work with department leaders to ensure paperwork completion and adherence to procedures. Effective communication skills in English , both orally and in writing. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with computers (computer knowledge essential). Ability to travel to multiple locations, including overnight stays, and flexibility to work in communities as well as office days.
