Salary Range: $21.07 To $22.18 Hourly

Unity House of Troy is seeking a dedicated HUD Specialist to join our Domestic & Sexual Violence Services Program . The ideal candidate will assist victims of domestic and sexual violence in securing safe, stable housing and navigating HUD and related housing processes with compassion and professionalism.

$1000 sign on bonus for those eligible

Key Responsibilities

• Assist victims of domestic and sexual violence with housing applications, locating and securing apartments.

• Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and safety planning.

• Communicate with landlords regarding code enforcement, leases, inspections, and renewals.

• Conduct inspections and lease reviews in compliance with federal funding requirements.

• Provide referrals and connections to supportive community services.

• Ensure compliance with contract and regulatory standards.

• Participate in a rotating on-call system (some nights and weekends required).

• Contribute to a work culture that values inclusion and belonging.

  Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or GED required.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.

• Other:

• Valid and current NYS driver’s license.

• Reliable transportation.

• Familiarity with HUD, federal, and state housing regulations preferred (training available).
