Job DescriptionGeneral SummaryThe Sr. Designer, Sweaters is responsible for sweater styles from initial concept through final production. This position supports the Wholesale Apparel business.The responsibilities described below are considered essential functions of the role. This position is based in our NYC office and requires working on-site. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage creative development of sweaters from the beginning of proto development to factory comments and fitting in production levelResearch markets, shop retail, and interact with consumer to establish trendsSource and choose yarns and knitting stitch designs for samplesCreate development tech-packs including technical flat sketches, specs, stitches, patterns, and construction detailsPresent sample as envisioned Create CAD sketches and stitch/pattern artwork Communicate with overseas venders and internal teams on product developmentsAble to manage multiple projects and deadlines with support and resources as neededPerform other duties and special projects as assignedRequired QualificationsCollege degree in the fashion design preferredMinimum of 5+ years experience in sweater industryProficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, Power PointExcellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skillsKnowledge of target marketThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $110,000 Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
