Job Summary:

• Serves patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, registering patients, and maintaining records and accounts.
• Responsible for creating a positive patient experience by facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers and ensuring efficient office operations.
• Responsible for scheduling appointments which will provide timely, accurate, friendly, and clinically appropriate patient access.
• The Patient Service Coordinator responds to incoming correspondence from patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and beyond, in accordance with patient privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience: Basic math and computer skills required. One (1) year medical clerical work experience preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
• Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information.
• Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use).
• Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation skills necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, members of leadership team, patients and families.
• Must be organized, flexible and a team player.
• Demonstrates the ability to work efficiently and organize time appropriately in order to accomplish daily work.
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities while using leadership behaviors.
• Problem Solving and Decision Making: Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction.
• Ability to make independent decisions in order to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Requires high level of analytical ability in order to gather, synthesize and interpret information from various sources.
• Ability to use core values and HRO safety principles to make decisions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
