ED RN

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions and emergencies. This role involves performing patient assessments, administering medications, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The ED RN must maintain strong communication skills and work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency environment. A minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing is required. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments upon arrival and throughout care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide emergency care interventions for patients of all ages and conditions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system (EPIC).
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous education and training, including certification renewals.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Wyoming.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Emergency Department.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with a variety of emergency cases across all age groups.
• Additional certifications or training related to emergency nursing or critical care.

• Work is performed in a fast-paced emergency department setting requiring adaptability and quick decision-making.
• Must be able to work night shifts and participate in a rotating schedule as needed.

• Nights shift from 18:30 to 07:00.
• Rotating schedule may be required to meet department needs.
