Registered Nurse (RN) Main PACU RN Weeknight/Weekend SOC

The role is on‑site, full‑time, 40 hours per week, 1st shift (US). This position is for a weeknight/weekend on‑call Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurse. Weeknight call starts 9p.m.‑7a.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend call is Saturday 7a.m.‑7a.m. and Sunday 7a.m.‑7a.m. In a six‑week schedule, the scheduled on‑call (SOC) will involve five weeks of weeknight call and one full weekend. An on‑call requirement also applies for one major holiday 7a.m.‑7a.m. Position Responsibilities Perform an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation, and evaluation of a plan of care. Administer, monitor, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes. Effectively manage rapidly changing situations. Participate in clinical decision‑making. Educate patient and family regarding the disease process, individualized care needs, wellness, and safety issues. Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team. Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice. Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team. Identify and participate in performance‑improvement activities. Maintain professional and departmental level competencies. Position Qualifications Valid New Jersey RN license, presented and maintained in accordance with state licensing regulations. Recent PACU experience required. ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required. Demonstrated knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate the care team. Commitment to ongoing education and staying current with nursing practice. Hourly Rate: $44.57 – $60.44 (actual rate varies with experience and internal equity).
