Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring mobility, and preventing disability in orthopedic patients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, employing diagnostic tests and assessments to inform treatment strategies, including musculoskeletal evaluations.
• Administer targeted therapeutic exercises, and train patients in non-manual activities to foster independence and enhance recovery.
• Engage with patients to deliver instructions and motivation, guiding them through core rehabilitation exercises and functional activities that support their recovery goals.
• Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and documenting clinical updates accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants and provide guidance to ensure adherence to care plans and effective implementation of therapeutic interventions.
• Evaluate the home environment of patients to identify challenges and make recommendations for modifications to enhance their rehabilitation and independence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletic injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized therapy plans tailored to diverse cases, emphasizing quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure to practice as a physical therapist in Virginia, with an understanding of local regulations regarding physical therapy practices.
• Current certification in CPR and First Aid, ensuring preparedness in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and explanation of treatment plans to patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
