Director of Operations Consulting

We are looking for an Operations Consulting Director with expertise in enhancing operations, procurement, and consulting. Ideal candidates will have a background in a reputable consulting firm specializing in operations and a proven track record of successful procurement, strategic sourcing, and operational transformation projects.This position is remote, but access to a major airport is necessary. The role requires travel from Sunday evening or Monday morning until Thursday evening during project engagements, with Fridays spent working remotely.DutiesLead intricate operations and procurement consulting projectsProvide guidance to senior leaders on sourcing, cost reduction, supply chain, and operational performanceOversee multiple workstreams and consulting teams throughout implementationEnhance performance in manufacturing, plants, warehouses, distribution, equipment, and supply chain operationsUtilize AI-based tools for consulting analysis, problem-solving, and operational enhancementCultivate strong client relationships and identify potential follow-up opportunitiesDevelop consulting managers and senior team membersQualificationsRecent involvement with a reputable operations-focused consulting firmProven success in delivering procurement and strategic sourcing projectsHands-on experience in enhancing operations in manufacturing, supply chain, plants, warehouses, or distribution settingsDemonstrated use of AI in consulting or operational enhancement effortsExperience in managing consulting teams and building relationships with executivesAbility to travel up to 80% during project engagementsAdvanced degree is preferredBackground in corporate-only, GPO, contract, or independent consulting is not sufficient for this roleAuthorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future is required
