Associate Director, Safety Analysis Scientist

Johnson & Johnson seeks an Associate Director, Safety Analysis Scientist to lead scientific safety assessments for assigned pharmaceutical products in development and post-market. The role combines independent safety evaluation with cross-functional collaboration to support regulatory compliance and product safety decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety evaluations including strategy discussions, data analysis, and report writing with minimal guidance
- Support Safety Management Teams and collaborate with Medical Safety Officers on safety strategy and deliverables
- Conduct proactive safety data reviews and develop safety positions for aggregate reports
- Provide training and oversight of team members on complex safety reports and analyses
- Act as subject matter expert for regulatory/audit interactions and lead cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or biomedical science with 11+ years industry experience, or advanced degree with 8+ years
- Medical writing or pharmacovigilance experience required
- Working knowledge of medical concepts and drug development safety activities
- Ability to analyze complex medical-scientific data from multiple disciplines
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Clinical experience preferred
