Director, Public Affairs, U.S. Neuroscience

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director of Public Affairs to lead strategic public affairs initiatives for the U.S. Neuroscience portfolio. The role involves shaping policy and advocacy efforts to support patient access, reimbursement, and pipeline success while maintaining stakeholder relationships across the healthcare landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated public affairs strategies supporting innovation, patient access, and portfolio sustainability
• Monitor and interpret mental health policy, regulatory landscape, and emerging reimbursement dynamics
• Maintain strong external relationships with policy influencers, advocacy organizations, and policymakers
• Provide strategic counsel to business leaders on public policy positioning and external engagement
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between public affairs, communications, and policy efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Policy, Public Relations, Government, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in public affairs, politics, or policy communications
• Strong executive-level communications and writing skills with proven messaging ability
• Deep knowledge of healthcare delivery, reimbursement systems, and payer dynamics
• Experience building and leveraging relationships with policymakers, advocacy organizations, and key opinion leaders
• Demonstrated ability to align public affairs strategies with commercial business objectives
• Proficiency with AI technologies to enhance productivity and department performance
