Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing and filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently. This role is heavily focused on data entry, prescription processing, and maintaining high accuracy standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The selected candidate must be able to work onsite for the initial training period (approximately 2–3 months). After training, the role will transition to a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite / 3 days remote).

Training Schedule

• Week 1: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT
• Week 2: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CT
• Regular Shift After Training: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CT

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label medications accurately
• Fill and refill prescriptions according to physician orders
• Perform data entry and prescription processing
• Process insurance claims and payment information
• Maintain accurate prescription records
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
• Provide excellent customer service to patients
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration
• Current PTCB or NHA CPhT certification in good standing
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail pharmacy or healthcare setting
• Experience with prescription processing and insurance claims

Important Notes

• Candidate must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Fort Worth, TX.
• Candidate must be available to work onsite daily during training.
• Strong attendance and schedule flexibility are required.
