Job Title: HR Assistant
Location: Tappan, NY (On-Site)
Pay: $25/hour

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in supporting the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping, and employee support, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy across all HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department and serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including application intake, job postings, and candidate communication
  • Support new hire onboarding, including orientation coordination and documentation
  • Maintain and audit employee personnel files and HR records
  • Assist with benefits administration, including FMLA and workers' compensation processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, including union (CBA) guidelines where applicable
  • Support timekeeping, HRIS data entry, and reporting activities
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs
  • Coordinate scheduling, training sessions, and meetings
  • Support offboarding processes, including exit documentation and tracking
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
