Accounting Assistant

Jacksons is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant with a high level of skills in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation to join our team. Under limited supervision, this position will conduct complex discrepancy research; process invoices, process/post customer payments and collect past due receivables on assigned customer accounts by means of standard communication both internally and externally in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities :Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry into accounting system s.Evaluate source documents for accuracy, reconcile and verify data for entry, and modify where necessary. y.Process and create customer invoices, daily EFT settlements and post customer payment s.Set up new customer accounts, ensure receipt of account information and perform verbal confirmations with customer r.Process vendor invoices through accounts payable software to obtain payment approval according to company policy y.Communicate with vendors and resolve payment or billing issue s.Report on daily bank activity to management t.Process deposits including coding and posting payment s.Conduct account research and provide support for internal and external customer s.Other reconciliations, duties or special projects as assigned d.
