Travel Physical Therapist – Rehab in Aventura, Florida. Assignment Overview Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 05/18/2026 Duration: 12 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week (12‑hour days, 3 shifts per day) Employment Type: Travel Location: 467‑bed acute care hospital with 26‑bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) Description Licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of recent experience in acute care PT is required for a 12‑week travel assignment in an acute care physical therapy unit. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy services to patients in acute care and IRF settings. Manage a 1:1 patient ratio and attend daily team conferences. Document patient care using Meditech system. Use equipment such as treadmills, car simulators, RT300, Bioness systems, and BITS. Shift hours 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating weekend coverage required). Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience; active clinical work within the past 6 months. Active Florida PT license required. Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; not to expire within 30 days of assignment start). Two professional references required (Florida‑based candidates). US SSN and DOB required. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not considered. No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months. Additional Information Treatment sessions approx. 1.5 hours. IRF or SNF experience preferred. Unit staffed by approx. 40 PT professionals. Light gray scrubs required.
