Benefits and Eligibility Specialist, Onsite- Phoenix, AZ

Pay Rate: $18.61/Hr. Temp to Hire
M–F, 8–5 (100%On-Site)
Local Candidates Only: Resume must specify current location

Duties/Responsibilities
• Review applications and determine eligibility for public assistance programs through interactive interviews and fact gathering
• Verify accuracy of application forms; follow up with applicants to gather missing info as needed
• Clearly communicate with applicants and recipients, address questions, and advise on benefit options
• Explain program rules/policies to claimants, representatives, employers, medical providers, and government agencies to gain needed facts
• Document determinations and deliver excellent customer service
• Travel to off-site meetings, training, or conferences may be required
• Attend in-person, 7-week training (required); potential transition to FTE after training

Required Qualifications
• 2+ years customer service experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma
• Ability to work onsite and provide own transportation

Preferred Experience/Certifications
• Experience with eligibility reviews or insurance adjudication
• Previous public assistance or government program experience a plus
