About the Role
We're hiring a seasoned Epic Program Manager to drive large-scale healthcare technology programs, centered on Epic EHR rollouts, optimization efforts, and regulatory and compliance initiatives. This senior position calls for deep healthcare IT program leadership, hands-on Epic knowledge, polished executive communication, and the ability to steer complex, organization-wide efforts that bring together clinical, operational, compliance, and IT teams.

What You'll Do

Leading Programs

• Direct enterprise-wide Epic programs that cut across several modules and departments.
• Manage healthcare technology programs driven by regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Oversee cross-functional portfolios that carry major operational impact.

Governance & Delivery

• Take ownership of program planning, resource alignment, risk mitigation, and overall delivery.
• Build and sustain governance structures for large-scale healthcare programs.
• Manage implementation partners and third-party vendors.
• Keep programs on track with organizational priorities, deadlines, and compliance standards.

Engaging Executives & Stakeholders

• Act as a central point of coordination and escalation for senior leaders.
• Prepare executive dashboards, strategy briefings, and materials to support decision-making.
• Bring clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders into alignment.
• Build agreement among competing priorities across the enterprise.

Navigating the Organization

• Guide cross-disciplinary teams throughout the organization.
• Lead high-profile and politically sensitive initiatives with care.
• Work through complex stakeholder disagreements and escalations.
• Identify risks and dependencies early and put mitigation plans in place.

What You Bring

• 5+ years leading healthcare IT projects or programs
• Hands-on experience implementing and/or optimizing Epic
• Track record running enterprise-scale programs with multiple workstreams
• Experience partnering with clinical, operational, IT, and executive groups
• Strong background in executive-level reporting and communication
• Experience leading healthcare technology programs tied to regulatory or compliance mandates
• Proven ability to handle risks, escalations, dependencies, vendors, and shifting priorities
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Must currently live in the San Diego area and be able to work onsite full-time

This Role May Not Be a Fit If You:

• Have project or program management experience only outside healthcare
• Have no hands-on Epic experience
• Have managed only small-scale projects
• Lack experience with enterprise-level programs
• Have not worked with or reported to executive stakeholders
• Are not based in San Diego
• Cannot commit to working onsite 100% of the time
