Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital Medical/Surgical unit setting
• Night shift schedule working 3x12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience in a U.S. hospital required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• US Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including full review of systems, and documents findings per policy
• Delivers age-appropriate, patient- and family-centered care across the life span
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
