About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff for Legal Operations to serve as a strategic advisor and operational leader within the legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of key activities, including financial oversight, outside counsel and vendor management, workflow optimization, technology implementation, and support for governance and executive-facing priorities. This role requires a deep understanding of legal operations, with a focus on improving the efficiency, transparency, and scalability of legal services. The Chief of Staff will also be involved in strategic planning, reporting, and process optimization, and will act as a liaison between the legal team and senior leadership. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position should have a Bachelor's degree, with a JD, MBA, or similar advanced degree highly preferred. A minimum of 8-10 years' of experience in a legal operations leadership role, particularly in corporate legal departments or law firms, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and executive operations, and experience in healthcare or academia is a plus. Core competencies include strong project management, financial acumen, executive communication, collaboration, and change management skills. The role demands a professional with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proven track record of influencing and building relationships at all levels of the organization.
