Job Opportunity: Academic Nephrologist

We are currently seeking applications for a full-time or part-time faculty role as an Academic Nephrologist within the Department of Pediatrics. Our organization is looking for a highly qualified board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to enhance our dynamic clinical program focused on diagnosing and treating children with kidney disorders. The new team member will join as the second or third physician in our division.

This division plays a vital role in delivering essential clinical and academic services that align with the objectives of our children's hospital and medical college. Our commitment to exceptional clinical care and recognized teaching excellence forms the foundation of our team. The division manages an onsite Pediatric Dialysis Unit and actively participates in our comprehensive outpatient pediatrics program, which includes multidisciplinary and satellite clinics. Additionally, we benefit from a strong pediatric urology division, a transplant surgery program, and skilled interventional radiologists.

About Our Institution

Our organization is a prominent academic medical center located in Albany, New York, the capital of the state. We are designated as a Level I Trauma Center and serve as the regional center for all adult and pediatric specialties.

The Bernard and Millie Duker Children's Hospital features a 60-bed NICU, a 19-bed PICU, and a newly established pediatric emergency department that opened in 2018, providing inpatient care for our division. Teaching and Faculty Appointment

The successful candidate will have numerous opportunities to teach house staff and medical students and will qualify for a faculty appointment at our medical college, with rank determined by qualifications and experience.
