Job Opportunity: Academic Nephrologist
The Department of Medicine at our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Academic Nephrologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to become a part of our Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. This role provides a chance to engage in a comprehensive nephrology practice within a collaborative and academically stimulating setting.
Position OverviewAs an Academic Nephrologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing inpatient consultation and educational services.
- Participating in renal transplant services.
- Delivering outpatient care for hemodialysis patients.
- Managing a hypertension referral clinic.
- Overseeing a comprehensive outpatient program for chronic kidney disease.
- Engaging in a vibrant academic environment with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contributing to or developing clinical and/or translational research initiatives.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary care model alongside advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff.
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
- Proven clinical expertise in nephrology subspecialty care.
- A strong commitment to medical education and mentorship.
- Interest or experience in clinical research is highly valued.
- Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
- A dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations.
