Sonographer

Job Summary RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This is a per diem position; hours/shifts will vary. The technician will operate scanners to produce diagnostic ultrasound images and provide excellent customer service in a patient‑centered environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure. Explain and prepare patients for imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately. Perform routine and advanced ultrasound imaging on designated body parts for use by physicians, with minimal supervision and accurate documentation. Adjust scan parameters and maintain equipment, cleaning and disinfecting after each use. Maintain positive working relationships with radiologists, referring patients, and peers. Follow physicians’ orders precisely and comply with safety and HIPAA regulations. Accurately maintain patient records within RIS. Keep the work area orderly and clean; promote safety habits. Maintain the ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements. Prepare examinations for radiologist interpretation, ensuring correct identification and processing of films and clinical history. Practice standard precautions and infection control policy standards. Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades. Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as needed. Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise. Complete other tasks as assigned. Requirements Required: ARDMS registered technologist in good standing. Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of radiography. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state. RT, RMT or ARDMS Certification. OSHA Class I exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens. Current CPR certification. Training and experience sufficient to perform ultrasound procedures independently.
